No barbacue

A sign at the beach which states, "No barbacueing". Doesn't stop people from doing it though!

Nice to see signs from around the world.

Maybe the people who are BBQ'ing don't understand the sign. Not speaking the local language, or being able to read what the sign is about, I would think it meant "No fires", which to me would seem odd to be posted at a beach. Sand doesn't burn, water doesn't burn. Maybe I would figure out it meant no barbecuing.

I wonder why they don't allow barbecuing at the beach?

looks like a "No Open Fires" kind of sign you sometimes see at campgrounds around here.

that's like the sign 'leash your dog' here but people don't always follow it...

I too wondered if people are not able to read the sign. Or maybe it is the Eastern thing (except Japan) of not following rules and regulations - to h*ll with everyone else.

@wendy - my guess would be this is to prevent smog though I don't know if Kuwait has this problem or not.
