Waiting

Went to the Airport yesterday to see off a relative and saw a bunch of hotel drivers holding cards with passenger names. Looking at those guys waiting .... and waiting.. I remembered a French Proverb, "People count up the faults of those who keep them waiting”!!!!

Thought it made a nice shot. Unfortunately, I zoomed to click and the lighting was not too good.

Yes, I always felt it would be neat to have someone waiting for me like that. But then my wife comes up and gives me a big welcome home hug, and I realize that those guys probably don't hug the people they are picking up. So, I will take loved over important!
Thanks,
Wayne
And thanks for stopping by Dunedin Daily Photo!

I have had the opportunity to be picked up by drivers like these a few times. It is an enormous time saver but not something I would do unless someone else is picking up the tab.

The card holders are present here too, sometimes you can 't see your relatives because they crowd you out.

Those barricades look so clean and gleaming.

Nice to learn a new proverb.

Regarding your comment on clealiness in the tank photo on my blog - yes, indeed it is apna india. but you can see the shrubs (weeds?) growing out of where the wall and the floor meet. Hyderabad was quite clean in the time of the past CM (Chandrababu Naidu) - the sweepers would clean ALL lanes and streets at night. It is not the same with the present govt, although I have read that they are going to buy some of those vacuuming trucks to clean the main roads. Of course, it would be cleaner if people don't throw wrappers after eating paan masala and gutka and stuff in the first place....
