Portico

This is the portico of the Chalet (I had posted yesterday). It was pleasant sitting there in the morning with a hot cup of coffee. The air was pretty nippy. This portico is an extension of the living room.

This is the path to the right of the portico leading to the beach. The guy is the caretaker of the Chalet. He had 4 or 5 cats constantly following him.

Dan, this is my 14th year in Kuwait. Every expat has to be sponsored by a Kuwaiti (the owner of the company.) Yes, companies too can only be owned by Kuwaities. Usually our Residence Permit is renewed every two years. We cannot make Kuwait our permanent residence.

In the pic of the Chalet, that's not a security camera. It is a light.

Ohhh! that is just a fluff ball of a kitten. The same markings as my Gigi except she is red.

He must be taking good care of the animals as well as the chalet if they follow him.

It must be like paradise on earth to live in a place like that. I'm truly envious. In another life....

A nice looking chalet...though am surprised that the water was too chilly!!! After all it's the Middle East!!! What was the temperature roughly? Here in Poland...mad people do actually swim in the Baltic even in the middle of winter!!!

Nice photos. The man with the cats must feed them or they would not follow him would they? We have had some snow here where I live.

Thanks OJ. Are there restrictions regarding bringing a family or sending currency out of the country?

Also, your pics today are great. I particularly like the first one where you have framed the white portico.

This place looks a really good spot to spend a lazy weekend, looking out to sea.

that cat in the foreground is a carbon copy of our brat-cat, Fergussen (named after the tractor because he purrs so loudly!)I love the portico pic, also surprised that it was cold, i always think in terms of boiling hot desert stereotype!
