Chalet

Went to this Chalet (110Kms away from the city) over the weekend. Weekend hols in Kuwait are on Friday and Saturday. It's overlooking the beach but it was too chilly to enter the water.

All property in Kuwait is owned only by locals. Expats can only rent out accommodation.

The left most window is one of the bedrooms, the middle windows is where the swimming pool is, the right top window is the living room, and on the ground floor (with the small tiled roof) is the game room. It has two snooker tables, a fooseball game, and a table tennis table.

That's a neat looking Chalet, OJ. Sounds like you might have had a good time. Is it a rental, or do you know the owners? Neat picture, did you get one of the beach also?
Thanks,
Wayne

looks like a wonderful house to me...and just for the sake of curiosity - what do you consider chilly water temperature? :)

I don't know the owners. It's rented out by a company for their staff to use over the weekends, so I just managed to tag along.

Isadora, Don't really know what the water temp was that day. I put my toe in and it nearly froze and fell off.. well, I do tend to exaggarate but it was cold. ;-)

Looks like a great place to spend a weekend. Is that a security camera on the top left corner of the house?

How long are you in Kuwait? Is there a limit on how long an expat can remain in-country?

Interesting that expats can't buy property in Kuwait - I didn't know that.

It doesn't look cold in the picture!

Nice house. You must have enjoyed the getaway. Interesting to know that foreigners cannot own property there. In complete contrast to UK where LN Mittal owns one of the most expensive palaces, or the US where non-citizens own houses and property.
