Rac
Saw this upturned car (Rac if you read it backwords... my own silly P.J. Ha! Ha!!) on my way home from work. Scenes like this are a plenty in Kuwait. Wondering how they managed to get the driver out of this one.
That's really spectacular. Can't believe that the police just left the car lying there in that state. Surely...it would be removed pretty quickly after the accident?!! Greetings from TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO here in Poland!
The wrecked cars are the responsiblity of the owner. If it's not moved off in a month, the police place a `X' marked sticker. If it's still not moved off by the owner for another 30 days, then the police tow it off to the scrap yard. This is what I've been told.
wow! amazing post!! and a great sense of humor (rac, haha!) you make me want to go to kuwait right now so i can check out those "srac" and water dispensers.
Interesting! I wonder if they charge the person for towing the car after the 30 days (after placing the X).
Regarding how they get people out of car wrecks, they most likely have something like "Jaws of Life" in Kuwait. You can read more about Jaws of Life here: http://news.carjunky.com/how_stuff_works/how_the_jaws_of_life_work_140.shtml
ouch! So it seems you are also a nation of crazy drivers! South African drivers are mostly real cowboys!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that's pretty spectacular. Welcome to the DP family.

ReplyDeleteHow long do the cars remain on the road, or off the road in this case?
ReplyDeleteOh, my! Anybody hurt? Doesn't look like passengers could get out unscathed.
ReplyDeleteIve seen worse here in Portugal. It seems that iresponsible reckless drivers are everywhere.
